Chocodiles (from Pillsbury Bake-Off)

Base:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1/3 cup crunchy peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg

Mix the above ingredients together, spread in ungreased, 13×9″ pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Topping:
6 oz. chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1 1/2 cups crushed corn flakes

Melt chocolate and stir in remaining ingredients.  Spread on top of base mixture. Let sit.
