- 2 cups butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (or almond extract, or Rum)
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Stir in vanilla; add flour and mix well. Put through cookie press and form cookies onto baking sheets — or roll into balls, then roll in sugar, then place 2″ apart on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes.
